vhf camfacture AG, a leading manufacturer of dental milling machines based in Ammerbuch near Stuttgart in Germany, has successfully validated the hybrid glass-ceramic AMBARINO High Class for vhf machines in collaboration with the Marburg-based materials specialist creamed. This step gives users even greater process reliability when processing this material, which has been available in vhf’s material database for many years.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The two companies worked closely together to validate this extremely flexible hybrid glass-ceramic for use in all vhf machines, as the material is available in both disc and block form. The perfect interaction of the precise vhf machines with the appropriate tools and the milling strategy in the CAM software, which is tailored to the specific properties of the material, forms the basis for the successful validation and ensures efficient and high-quality machining.<\/p>\n

AMBARINO High Class is described as the world’s most flexible hybrid glass-ceramic in its class. This flexibility has a shock-absorbing effect on chewing pressure, which is particularly advantageous for implant-supported crown and bridge restorations and endodontically treated teeth. AMBARINO High Class is an X-ray-transparent, ultra-hard composite material with a ceramic-based, highly compacted filler technology. Also worth mentioning is a 20 millimeter thick multicolor disc with four layers, which is a unique feature of this material of this thickness.<\/p>\n

During the validation process, test specimens and actual restorations were milled and evaluated for fit accuracy and surface quality. All tests were completed to the highest satisfaction of both vhf and creamed, and the milling results were flawless. The material is now available in additional sizes in the dentalcam<\/strong> material database.<\/p>\n
