Mill quickly and economically with the S5 and N4+
Two new milling and grinding machines from vhf
Ammerbuch/Hauppauge, February 21, 2020: Milling and grinding dental restorations quickly, precisely and conveniently – vhf is pleased to introduce two new models to the market. With the N4+ and the S5, the leading manufacturer of dental milling machines is expanding its portfolio. The new machines will be presented to the public on February 21, 2020, at the largest North American laboratory trade show LMT Lab Day in Chicago at booth E-40 (East Tower Riverside at the Hyatt Hotel).
The N4+ is a wet processing machine for milling and grinding glass ceramic, composite and zirconia blocks as well as titanium abutments. This machine combines the high precision and fast processing in an extremely compact housing. With the new N4+, vhf customers also benefit from plenty of power: The 800 watt spindle with speeds up to 80,000 RPM offers powerful performance for the efficient wet processing of three blocks up to 45 mm in length or three prefabricated abutments. Another highlight of the four-axis machine is its integrated camera for easy remote support. These features make the N4+ the ideal partner for the laboratory and practice-labs.
The S5 is a highly versatile five-axis dental milling machine designed for both dry and wet processing. It is particularly suitable for users who want to machine a wide range of materials, as its eight-fold blank changer allows non-stop machining of all materials – from wax to zirconia and even cobalt-chrome. In addition to discs, the machine can process up to 24 blocks or 48 abutments.
Even more efficiency and convenience is provided by the three integrated ionizers of the S5: They simplify the cleaning effort by neutralizing the static charge of plastic chips such as PMMA. And, with the optional wet grinding option, the range of applications can be extended to include the grinding of glass ceramic or milling of titanium.
Both new machines are characterized by the great freedom which they offer regarding the choice of machinable materials. Here, the users benefit from decades of experience which vhf has with the development of CAM software creating sophisticated machining strategies and the manufacturing of tools. The continuous cooperation with a vast range of material manufacturers ensures that the maximum possible choice of materials can be optimally and reliably manufactured.
