Seamless chairside workflow with vhf machines and Circle One design solution

vhf camfacture AG, a leading manufacturer of dental milling machines, tools, and CAM software, and Circle, a French provider of AI-powered CAD software, have integrated their software to deliver unprecedented ease of use and automation to dental clinicians in an open workflow.

Thanks to the partnership announced at the CDS Chicago Midwinter Meeting 2026, the process of creating and producing crowns has become extremely fast and convenient. According to Circle One, this fulfills a long-standing promise: a smooth, intuitive, accessible chairside experience that is compatible with all commonly used dental intraoral scanners.

AI-supported design for a new level of simplicity in the chairside workflow

Based on collaborative AI, the fully cloud-based application generates a crown proposal in less than a minute after the data is loaded. The restoration generated this way can be immediately reviewed or further refined by the dentist in real time. Circle One thus offers a design process that largely automates complex CAD steps, thereby providing particularly intuitive access to digital dentistry.

The process continues just as smoothly with OneClick Manufacturing, the module offered by Circle One, which allows the user to launch vhf’s dentalcam software with a single click and automatically imports the CAD data. This is where nesting occurs (i.e. placement in the raw material block) and where the milling process is started. Thanks to vhf directmill technology, the time from transferring a crown from Circle One CAD to the start of the milling process is also less than one minute.

Faster high-quality chairside restorations

This seamless workflow combining CAD and CAM software and the milling machine enables the production of first-class restorations. The finished crown can be delivered to the patient during a single visit to the dental practice. These so-called chairside treatments are becoming increasingly important because they save time for further treatment and the cost of temporary restorations.

All vhf machines can be perfectly integrated into this workflow. Particularly noteworthy are the compact E4 and Z4 four-axis milling machines, which can be easily accommodated in any treatment room without the need for external compressed air. The combination of manufacturing precision and process stability of vhf machines and the modern AI intelligence of the Circle One CAD world results in a powerful interplay of two technologies. For users, this means an exceptionally smooth chairside workflow that makes high-quality restorations easier and more efficient than ever before.
