CAM software
vhfcam: the manufacturing software for your milling machine.
We have combined over 35 years of experience in the CAM sector in the development of our intelligent and powerful manufacturing software, vhfcam. It creates a seamless connection between machine, tool, and material – and impresses with numerous new features and outstanding ease of use. The Windows-based software is so intuitive that even beginners with no prior experience can get started quickly.
Intelligent, Windows-based, and high-performance
When developing vhfcam, we placed special emphasis on a user-friendly workflow designed to quickly increase your productivity and efficiency. The software clearly guides you through the required steps using structured, task-specific tabs – making it easy for anyone to become a milling professional in a short time, even without CNC programming skills.
vhf Milling Intelligence
Our machines think along with you. Thanks to a comprehensive machining database that includes all tools from the vhf portfolio, vhfcam suggests optimal machining parameters for a wide range of materials – while taking your machine and spindle into account. This eliminates time-consuming trial and error and helps you achieve perfect machining results faster.
Smart help function
The integrated help function is directly linked to the new vhf cncportal. In addition to text and images, short videos support you in understanding the various functions.
Reliable cutting depth
The predefined maximum cutting depth of each tool is automatically considered, preventing excessive tool penetration into the material.
Dimensioning function
Selected elements of your design can be dimensioned automatically.
User-friendly, Windows-based workflow
Work within a familiar interface: vhfcam guides you clearly through each step with structured tabs – enabling fast results, even without CNC programming knowledge.
High reliability
Benefit from regular security and system updates, a proven IT infrastructure, and improved scalability.
Compatibility with corporate IT
Windows is the standard environment in most companies. vhfcam integrates seamlessly into existing IT infrastructures and is easy to manage.
3D view and simulation
Visualize your workpieces and milling strategies in 3D. This increases process reliability and helps you avoid costly errors or scrap. Enhanced CAM calculations further speed up machining.
Efficient data import
vhfcam supports seamless import of PDF, DXF, and 3D NC files – including current DXF formats and data from RhinoCAM or Fusion. PDF import ensures excellent compatibility with DTP applications, while direct import and export of 3D data eliminates the need for separate work in CNC-Term.
Easy transfer of Cenon data
Transfer your existing Cenon projects and tool libraries quickly and easily – for a smooth transition.
Efficient project editing
Even during the CAD phase, you have access to a wide range of new editing and drawing tools for both creation and post-processing.
Improved batch production
You can now define a start point and the machining sequence for individual nested elements.
Extended threading options
Includes predefined and expandable standard threads as well as flat and tapered countersinks.
All-in-one solution
The consistent, efficient workflow within a single interface simplifies your entire manufacturing process – saving time and costs while reducing errors.
The vhfcam versions
Versions of vhfcam
Different versions of vhfcam are available depending on your application.
vhfcam
The full version includes all the product benefits described above. It covers CAD/CAM and CNC, allowing you to perform all steps – from design and parameter definition to the actual milling process – within a single, unified interface.
Option: vhfcam optical recognition
Add-on module for optical registration mark recognition: printed registration marks are detected on a panel and processed by a CCD camera system, enabling precise contour milling or cutting. This module can be combined with both the full version and the CNC version.
vhfcam CNC version
Designed for outputting NC files: this version enables you to run NC files created with other CAM software. These files already contain all required instructions and coordinates for machining. The functional scope outside the CNC area is limited. This version replaces CNC-Term.
vhfcam AV version
The job preparation version: it offers the same functionality as the full version but does not connect to a machine. This version is ideal for preparing milling jobs at a separate workstation and using the full version on the machine solely for the milling process.
vhfcam annual subscription
With vhfcam, you can now benefit from a flexible subscription model for the first time. Your advantages include:
- Attractive entry price – ideal for exploring vhfcam at your own pace
- Always up to date – new features, technological improvements, and security updates are automatically included
- All-inclusive – from minor updates to major feature upgrades, at no additional cost
- Flexible terms – annual billing with predictable costs and easy cancellation
- Scalability – your subscription grows with your needs; it is available for the full version as well as optional modules such as optical recognition and the AV version

Other CAM software
Manufacturing software
In addition to our intelligent and powerful manufacturing software, vhfcam, we offer other software packages for specialized applications:
Cenon
If you work on a Mac, Cenon is an interesting alternative for you. Cenon is a universal manufacturing software that allows you to either import your projects from your preferred design software (AutoCAD, Illustrator, etc.) or create them directly in Cenon.
Cenon lets you concentrate fully on the key steps of the CAM output. Intelligent algorithms take care of transferring your graphics to the milling machine.
Cenon CCD
The Cenon CCD module is used for the optical measurement of printed workpieces. This gets rid of a common problem: the workpiece has been carefully printed, but when it is then cut out, the borders do not match exactly.
3D-machining
There are different software packages for producing three-dimensional objects, each optimized for specific applications.
Third-party CAM
With our vhf output software you can easily process your self-generated CAM data on our machines via post-processor.
Engraving fonts
High-quality single or multi-line fonts which have been specially developed for engraving and do not need to be reamed.
