vhf continues its support to local communities by partnering with Feeding America this Holiday season

Commitment to people in need and measures against food waste combined

Hauppauge, New York, November 30, 2023 – With food prices rising at the highest rate in decades, more and more people in the U.S. are living in poverty. Food banks across the country continue to experience an increased demand since the beginning of the pandemic and rising food costs. vhf has once again partnered with Feeding America, a non-profit organization that distributes and donates food to tens of millions of people in need.

For many years, vhf has been committed to charitable causes during the Holiday season – following the principle: donations instead of gifts. “We are grateful to be in a position due to our successful business with our customers to give back to the community”, says Christoph Roeer, CEO of vhf Inc.

Feeding America is the largest hunger-relief organization in the United States. Through a network of more than 200 food banks, 21 statewide food bank associations, and over 60,000 partner agencies, food pantries and meal programs, Feeding America helped provide 6.6 billion meals to tens of millions of people in need last year. Feeding America also supports programs that prevent food waste and improve food security among the people served.
